Air-insulated secondary switchgear up to 12 kV KSO-205

Air-insulated secondary switchgear up to 12 kV KSO-205 are used for receiving and distributing three-phase alternating current electricity with a frequency of 50 and 60 Hz in networks with an isolated or grounded neutral.
AIS KSO-205 cells are used in:
- indoor switchgear units (ISU) of complete transformer substations (CTS);
- electrical substations of industrial enterprises;
- switchgear of power plants' own needs;
- public utility facilities;
- and other power supply facilities.
AIS KSO-205 cells are installed both in permanent closed switchgear buildings and in special quickly-assembled modules of full factory readiness.
AIS KSO-205 cells is a prefabricated metal structure made of one-piece hot-dip galvanized sheets of galvanized steel, connected by rivets. KSO-205 cameras have one-sided service for single-row and double-row camera arrangements. The chamber with a vacuum circuit breaker has insulated compartments: relay, draw-out element compartment, busbar compartment, cable compartment.
The relay compartment, drawer compartment and cable compartment are closed by separate doors, unlocked with a single key. The relay compartment is a cabinet fenced off from the primary switching circuits; protection and automation equipment is located in it and on its door. The retractable elements in the chambers can be a vacuum switch, a sectional disconnector or voltage transformers on a retractable track.
The retractable element can occupy positions relative to the body: working, control and repair. In the working position, the main and auxiliary circuits of the cabinet are closed, the retractable element is located within the cabinet body in a fixed position. In the control position, the main circuits of the cabinet are open, and the auxiliary circuits are closed (opening of the auxiliary circuits is allowed), the retractable element is located within the cabinet body in a fixed position. In the repair position, the main and auxiliary circuits of the cabinet are open, the pull-out element is located outside the cabinet body on the service trolley.
The following types of interlocks are provided in KSO-205 cells:
- a lock that prevents the sliding element from moving from the working position to the control position and back when the switch is on;
- a lock that prevents the switch from being turned on in the intermediate (between operating and control) position of the drawer element;
- a lock that prevents the sliding element with detachable contacts from rolling in and out under load;
- a lock that prevents the sliding element from rolling in from the control position to the working position when the grounding switch is switched on;
- blocking that prevents the grounding switch from being turned on in the working and intermediate positions of the retractable element (i.e. in all positions except the control one).
- locking the cable compartment door, preventing the cable compartment door from opening when the grounding switch is disconnected.
- locking the chamber door with a load switch, preventing the door from opening when the grounding switch is disconnected.
